Student Board of Directors
Purpose
-
The Student Board of National Block & Bridle serves to increase engagement of chapters across the country, increase awareness of role in the national organization, and augment leadership skills of students serving on the board.

The Student Board of the National Block & Bridle serves as an advisory board to the National Officers.

Responsibilities
-
Student board members shall participate in officer meetings and contribute to social media engagement.
-
Student board members shall work with the National Convention host chapter to promote the upcoming convention.
-
Other responsibilities as determined by the National Officers.
Membership
-
Eligibility
-
Student must be in good academic standing.
-
Student must be enrolled at a 2- or 4-year institution for the entire term.

Board Composition
-
The student board shall consist of four students
-
At least one student representing each region, as defined by ASAS is preferred.
-
At least one student board member representing a two-year institution is preferred.
-
No more than one member from a chapter is preferred.
-
-
The student board serves one-year terms starting on May 1st of the year selected.

Nominations
-
Students may self-nominate OR be nominated by their own chapter

Student must submit a resume and cover letter including:
-
Summary of accomplishments within their own chapter.
-
Long term career goals.
-
Why member wants to be on the board.
-
Thoughts on how National Block & Bridle can be improved.
-
Expected graduation date.
-
Student must provide an attestation from an advisor indicating the student is in good academic standing.

Applications must be submitted to the National Block & Bridle Secretary/Treasurer by March 15th.

Selection

Students will be selected by the National Officers.
-
Selected members will be announced by April 15th.

For 2025 only, The application deadline is April 15th with selection by May 15th
