Hello All,
It has been a busy semester here in the Michigan State Block and Bridle Club. As we wrap up the year we have enjoyed Christmas gatherings, cookie baking and, of course, the Michigan Winter Beef Classic.
Our last meeting of the year included an ugly sweater contest where students flaunted sweaters of many…interesting types. Also, many members, and advisors, participated in a white elephant gift exchange game.

The twist came in the fact that there was a prize not only for the strangest gift but also the gift that was hardest to open. This made for quite an entertaining evening as students struggled to remove duct tape, plastic bags, and frozen t-shirts from various presents.

Winter Beef Kicked off with steer showmanship on Friday evening and ran for the duration of the weekend. Many members exhibited, helped fit and clip, or sold merchandise at this great event full of awesome cattle and even better people.

Even in the craziness of the show weekend a few members found time to head over to AGR to bake hundreds of Christmas cookies to thank our amazing faculty and staff here in the Animal Science Department.
As we head into the Christmas season Michigan State Block and Bridle reminds you to be thankful for your school, your stock, and your family who helped you to get to here.

Merry Christmas and the Happiest of Holidays,
Michigan State University Block and Bridle
